How long do we store your data?

We store your data for as long as necessary based on our relationship (i.e. if you are a member, what kind of profile you have, etc.), your wishes (i.e. if you request their deletion), and the existence of any legal obligation (i.e. tax data). To set the storage period, we always keep in mind the principle of limiting the storage period, while in any case we take care of their safe observance.

Who do we share your data with?

With absolutely no purpose for direct commercial promotion. We use third party services (processors) for very specific and absolutely necessary services, such as hosting or web analytics. We have selected for these services large organizations that provide security guarantees and we have contracted with them in order to provide safe services. In some cases we may be required to share data with judicial or police authorities, under strict terms and conditions.

1. Who we are (Data Controller) is a website for commercial use and customers, which has been created, maintained and owned by nuYOU LED LLC (hereinafter referred to as “We” or “Company”).

We consider the management of your personal data a very serious matter and that is why we make every effort to fully comply with all the rules of their processing, as they arise from European law (you can find the relevant legal framework at the end text). We collect some information about nuYOU LED visitors and registered users, which can lead to their immediate or indirect identification.

3. Processing based on the legal interest

In addition to the services we provide depending on your status, where we process your data in order to fulfill our contractual obligation, we may process your data to directly promote new services or products, our own or third parties (marketing).

First of all, in these cases we will only process contact details (name, email, phone number, address) and business status. Additionally, you can choose not to receive such messages when creating your profile, manage your subscriptions from your profile at any time, and in any nuYOU LED communication with you, you have the right to object to the processing of your data for this purpose.

4. Information on newsletter management

nuYOU LED regularly sends newsletters to its users, depending on their status.

By creating your profile on nuYOU as a customer, you are automatically included in the list of recipients of newsletters to the email you declare. In newsletter you receive, you have the ability to unsubscribe, with a relevant link at the end of the email. The management of your subscription to the newsletter is easily accessible through your profile (dashboard – newsletter subscription), where you can register and unsubscribe.

5. Where and for how long do we store your data?

Your data is stored in the company’s system, which is hosted on a server that uses resources from Amazon’s data center infrastructure in Dublin, Ireland. The management of the server is carried out with the appropriate methods, exclusively and only by strictly limited staff of the Company itself, without the mediation of third parties.

As a general rule, we retain your data only for a period of time, which is necessary for each processing purpose. There are clearly certain storage periods for each data category. For example, if you are registered with nuYOU LED, we retain your data for as long as you remain a member, unless you are a subscriber (see below). If you send a message via the contact form to nuYOU LED, your message and details will be deleted within twelve months from the date of sending the last message we receive from you.

The rules for determining the retention period result from ensuring the rules for data protection, the best practices in the field and the safeguarding of the proper functioning of the Company. However, in addition to the parameters set by the same Company, there are also conditions set by the competent authorities that must be taken into account

6. What are your rights regarding your data and how can you exercise them?

• Right of objection, i.e. to oppose at any time the processing of your data based on our legal interest (commercial promotion)
• Right to data portability, i.e. to request the data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and readable format machine, if this is deemed technically feasible based on the provisions of the GDPR.

In any case, we will inform you as soon as possible and, in any case, within one month of the submission of your request, for its progress and for the reason for the possible delay in its satisfaction.

In the event that your requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, especially due to their recurring nature, the Company may either impose a reasonable fee, taking into account the administrative costs of providing the information or the announcement or execution of the requested action or refuse to follow up on your request.
